Frequently asked questions
What owners and operators usually want to know before we start working together.
What types of venues do you work with?
Restaurants, bars, cocktail lounges, nightclubs and food businesses such as cafés, food halls, quick-service spots and food trucks, from independent first-time owners to multi-unit operators, hotels and investors with a food and beverage project.
How is a consulting engagement priced?
There are three ways to work together: a one-time venue assessment, a fixed-scope project engagement, or an ongoing monthly partnership, plus à la carte add-ons. See the pricing page for details. Every engagement starts with a free conversation, and you will always see the scope and fee in writing before work begins.
How long does a typical engagement last?
A focused project such as a menu engineering review or an operations assessment can take a few weeks. Concept development and pre-opening support usually run for several months, following the build and opening timeline. Turnarounds are planned in 30, 60 and 90-day stages.
Do you work on-site or remotely?
Both. Hospitality is best understood in person, so assessments, training and opening support include time on-site during real service. Planning, financial review and follow-up can be handled remotely to keep costs sensible.
Can you help before we have signed a lease?
Yes, and it is often the best time to start. A second opinion on the site, the concept and the numbers before you commit can prevent the most expensive mistakes.
Our venue is struggling. Is it too late for help?
Not necessarily. A turnaround begins with an honest assessment of what is causing the decline and what can realistically be fixed. Sometimes the answer is operational, sometimes it is the concept, and sometimes it is a harder decision. Either way you will get a clear view.
Will you work with our existing team?
Yes. The goal is to leave your team stronger. Recommendations are built with your managers and staff, and training materials are designed so they can keep using them after the engagement ends.
Is our information kept confidential?
Yes. Financials, plans and anything shared about your business stay confidential, and we are happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement before you share details.
